Stuff Thyself with Ducks!

This may look like a plate of your normal roast duck. But trust me, it is the most delicious Peking duck I have had in Melbourne. The way the duck is cut randomly, it doesn't bear any resemblance to the nicely- and thinly-sliced Peking duck you get served in the restaurants in Singapore (or Asia).

Today, caught up with G&T and D for dinner at my favourite Old Kingdom. Other than the little bit of traffic in the city, the ride to Smith Street was smooth and pleasant. I entered the restaurant with much anticipation - hoping that it would taste as good as I remembered it. After all, the meal wasn't cheap and if not tasty, it would (and had by now) add extra inches to my already-expanding waistline.

The colour of the crispy skin of the duck wasn't exactly what I remembered. The spring onions and cucumbers also seem to have shrunk in length. My friends told me I must have remembered wrongly - I didn't contest that.

Appearance aside - the duck tasted good! I cannot be sure if that was the same yumminess I experienced years back but I did not bother comparing.

After tonight, I had enough of ducks. The thought and sight of it irk me. So, I swear, "No more ducks for the year and next!" *Fingers crossed*
